Third Day – Cry Out To Jesus

I’ve been listening to all the artist that I use to listen when I was 15. This is one of the songs that struck me.

To everyone who’s lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye

And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there’s nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He’ll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus

For the marriage that’s struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith in love
They’ve done all they can to make it right again
Still it’s not enough

For the ones who can’t break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you’re not alone in your shame
And your suffering

When your lonely
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus

To the widow who suffers from being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight

Hillsong United – You Hold Me Now

I don’t really like to promote certain music cause they are too mainstream. But anyway, there is only 1 song, which happens to appear in both Hillsong United and Hillsong Music Australia’s two latest albums ( [a_CROSS//the_EARTH] Tear Down the Walls & Faith + Hope + Love ), that personally caught me. Sometimes its more than just the words.

On that day when I see
All that You have for me
When I see You face to face
There surrounded by Your grace

All my fears swept away
In the light of your embrace
When Your love is all I need
And forever I am free

Where the streets are made of gold
In Your presence healed and whole
Let these songs of heaven rise to you alone

No weeping, no hurt or pain
No suff’ring You hold me now
You hold me now
No darkness no sickening
No hiding You hold me now,
You hold me now

In this life I will stand
Through my joy and my pain
Knowing there’s a greater day
There’s a hope that never fails

When You’re name is lifted high
And forever praises rise
For the glory of Your Name
I’m believing for the day

When the wars and violence cease
All creation lives in peace
Let these songs of heaven rise to you alone

No weeping, no hurt or pain
No suff’ring You hold me now
You hold me now
No darkness, no sickening
No hiding You hold me now,
You hold me now

For eternity
All my heart will give
All the glory to Your name

Daughtry – Poker Face

Ok. I haven’t updated in a long time. Been really caught up with army life and other stuff. oh well. It’s a constant struggle I guess. Anyway, I love Daughtry’s version of Poker Face.

21 Years

Twenty one years. I wouldn’t be here without everyone of my friends and family, so here’s thanks and here’s to many more. (:

The Starting Line – Something Left To Give

I’ve got stars in my great big sky
I shall gaze upon without leaving small ones behind
Because they’re harder to find
Some were satellites, others planes
Some were twinkling while other were fading away
But they’re all one-of-a-kind
It’s not that interesting
But I’d like to keep it a secret
So I’ll have something left to give

It’s not that difficult
When you’ve got a luck of this kind
We’ve gotta take advantage
We’ve got such limited time
Oh, I wonder
Oh, I wonder how long it’ll take me to die
It’s not that interesting
But I’d like to keep it a secret
So I’ll have something left to give

And I’ll hear my children and grandchildren sing:
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
It’s not that interesting
But I’d like to keep it a secret
So I’ll have something left to give

In my remaining years here
When I am old and play lazy
I’ll have a little something left to give
To all those who love me so much
I’d like to return the favor
And have something left to give

And I’ll hear my children and grandchildren sing:
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la

It’s not that difficult
When you’ve got a luck of this kind
To all those who love me so much
I’d like to return the favor
I wonder
Oh, I wonder how long it’ll take me to die
It’s not that interesting
But I’d like to keep it a secret
And have something left to give

Falling Up – Maps

One last hour before this place is on fire.
Losing all as the flames grow higher and higher.
Here I stand…

The further I’m from you, the harder I try to exist.
(Take these blinds from my eyes, and wake me from the inside.)
Somebody tell me, how did it come to this?
(Take these blinds from my eyes, and wake me from the inside.)

This last hour, the night dropped into the sea.
The light spread wider, the sky broke open and free.
Here I stand…

Further out, maybe you could meet me where I am.
Further out, I know there is hope within your hands.

Paramore – We Are Broken

This song has lingered for quite a while. I have no idea why.  I know I have other songs like this one but I can’t seem to find it.

I am outside
And I’ve been waiting for the sun
With my wide eyes
I’ve seen worlds that don’t belong
My mouth is dry with words I cannot verbalize
Tell me why we live like this

Keep me safe inside
Your arms like towers
Tower over me

Yeah
‘Cause we are broken
What must we do to restore
Our innocence
And oh, the promise we adored
Give us life again
‘Cause we just wanna be whole

Lock the doors
Cause I’d like to capture this voice
It came to me tonight
So everyone will have a choice
And under red lights
I’ll show myself it wasn’t forged
We’re at war
We live like this

Keep me safe inside
Your arms like towers
Tower over me

‘Cause we are broken
What must we do to restore
Our innocence
And oh, the promise we adored
Give us life again
‘Cause we just wanna be whole

Tower over me
Tower over me
And I’ll take the truth at any cost
